Intensive / Adjustment Training

This Intensive will focus on the healing form of traditional Ashtanga Yoga.

Andrea will support your own practice and will give you profound insights in all the different aspects of the teaching of traditional Ashtanga Yoga. The participation is for yourself, to intensify your own practice and for your teaching, to learn and refine your abbility to teach Ashtanga Yoga.

This Intensive will provide you with the information to experience the practice of Ashtanga Yoga from an energetic point of view and how to practice for a transformational healing process on all levels.

We will explore in practice and theory all the different aspect of traditional Ashtanga Yoga. There will be an exploration of each Asana of the Primary Series, with the performance of the asana and the transits between them. You will learn how to adapt the Ashtanga Yoga practice to different levels of experience and what each students bringst o the practice. We will study how to give variations of the asanas to each individual’s needs, and how to provide safe and supporting adjustment according to the individual level.

You will gain an understanding how to communicate with your hands on the students’ body, and you will experience how to realize energetic blockages and how you can support to release them.


The energetic plane of the practice will be explained and experienced. The exploration of the subtle bodies and the energetic alignment in the practice will be accentuated.

Before we start the practice in the morning, there will be a 45 min session with Pranayama and Meditation. The Pranayama will be built up over the days and is save for everybody to participate.

The training includes 50 Units (a 45 min) with the main topics:

  • Refine and intensify your own practice
  • Ashtanga Yoga as an healing practice
  • the techniques of Ashtanga Yoga
  • the art to adjust (hands on training)
  • How to teach in a Mysore style setting
  • The energetic bodies (koshas)
  • Pranayama
  • Meditation
  • living Anatomy
  • Yoga Philosophy and discussions

An established, daily Ashtanga Yoga practice for minimum 2 years is mandatory to apply.

The Training will provide for each participants an intense learning and practice experience.

10:30 – 14:30 Teacher Training

You will receive a work manual for the training and a letter for the successful completion of 40h teacher training.

The size of the group will be limited to 12 people, to enable us to work intensely with each person.

The main teaching language will be English, due to our international students. Translations will be provided as much as needed, and we will make sure that the language is no hindrance for your understanding of the topics. If there are any doubts, please feel free to contact us.
