„”…the meditation in the flow of efficient movements, as well as the humility before one’s own mental and physical limits, which daily practice continually reveals to her – only now her own ego is her sparring partner, and she is always striving to turn this opponent into a friend.”“
Astrid

Astrid discovered yoga in 2008 in her then hometown of Nicaragua, where she also completed her first teacher training at It’s Yoga Nicaragua. Since 2011, she has been practicing and teaching Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga independently in Berlin.

Since 2013, she has fully dedicated herself to Ashtanga Yoga. In 2013/14, she participated in the Primary Series Teacher Training with Andrea Lutz and Manju P. Jois, and the following year, she attended the Primary Series Adjustment Clinic with Nancy Gilgoff. Since 2015, she has been assisting Andrea in teaching, and in 2016, she completed the Intermediate Series Teacher Training with Andrea, as well as the Intermediate Series Adjustment Clinic with Nancy Gilgoff.

In Ashtanga Yoga, Astrid loves what has drawn her to martial arts training for years: the meditation in the flow of efficient movements, as well as the humility before her own mental and physical limits, which daily practice continually reveals to her – only now her own ego is her sparring partner, and she is always striving to make this opponent her friend.
