Drop In
Drop-ins are only possible with prior knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga.
Mysore Style
In Mysore classes, students are taught individually within a group. They receive personal support and corrections, as well as hands-on adjustments. By learning the series step by step, everyone can practice within their capabilities and learn Ashtanga Yoga at their own pace.
Mysore classes reflect the essence of the Ashtanga Yoga practice.
Every student can listen to the rhythm and sound of their own breath and turn their attention inward. Only then can yoga become a meditation in motion. Mysore classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
No prior knowledge is required; gradually, everyone will receive all the components necessary for an independent and individually tailored yoga practice.
1/2 Led Primary with the beginning of 2nd Series
This class is a half led primary with the beginning of second series. Open to all that:
· have a regular practice
· know the practice until Navasana
‘The Way He Taught Me (Nancy Gilgoff)’
Always the last wednesday of the month. A soft Primary Series, the way Nancy Gilgoff learnt it from Sri Patthabi Jois during her first visit to Mysore. A very compact, lovely practice. A few things are left out, because they were not there in the beginning. Read all about it here.
Led Class
The focus of this class is on the rhythm of the series. It is practiced in the shared rhythm and in the original “Counting.” A challenging class for everyone with regular practice at least up to Navasana (Boat Pose).
Moonpractice
On Moon Days (Full and New Moon) we offer a guided class for all experience levels. No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Yoga Sangraha
Sangraha means collection – a combination of grounding and calming asanas that specifically address the natural rhythm of your nervous system. Rooted in the Hatha Yoga tradition, these classes unite selected asana and pranayama sequences developed by Eddie Stern through the study, research, and reflection of classical texts and practices.
Different approaches from various Hatha Yoga traditions are blended into a harmonious whole. This creates a practice that is simultaneously calming, strengthening, and energizing, centering you and gently guiding you into a meditative state. No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Restorative / Yin Yoga
Various techniques are used to mobilize the joints and increase overall flexibility. Long-held stretches help to release tension in the muscles and connective tissue, promoting deep relaxation. Body and mind come to rest. No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Consciouss Breathing & Meditation
Breathing is part of the autonomic nervous system. It happens without us having to think about it, just like swallowing or digestion. Autonomous/unconscious. In the first part of the session, we will become aware of the unconscious.
We will explore the resonance frequency (5-7 breaths per minute). With this breathing pattern, heart rate variability, blood pressure, and respiration come into coherence.
The effect is a deep sense of balance, comparable to a reset button for the autonomic nervous system. The cardiovascular system is also strengthened. With regular practice, we can cope better with stress.
In the second part of the session, we will sit for 20 minutes. Guided meditation. No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Private lessons
For individual problems and questions, one-on-one sessions can be arranged.
