Ashtanga Yoga Intro
Tuesdays at 4:30 PM (60 min).
In this accessible class, you will learn the fundamental principles of the Ashtanga practice – such as the specific breathing technique and how to synchronize breath with movement – in a slow, detailed manner.
You will also explore the concept of the focal point (drishti) and learn how to modify yoga poses to suit your individual needs, ensuring a safe practice even with physical limitations or injuries.
You can attend three classes for €45
Alternatively, for Ashtanga Yoga newcomers, we offer a “Beginner Special”: for €100, you can attend classes as often as you like for four weeks to get to know us and our teaching style.
Both options are available in our shop.
Drop In
Drop-ins are only possible with prior knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga.
Mysore Style
In Mysore classes, students are taught individually within a group. They receive personal support and corrections, as well as hands-on adjustments. By learning the series step by step, everyone can practice within their capabilities and learn Ashtanga Yoga at their own pace.
Mysore classes reflect the essence of the Ashtanga Yoga practice.
Every student can listen to the rhythm and sound of their own breath and turn their attention inward. Only then can yoga become a meditation in motion. Mysore classes are suitable for all levels of experience.
No prior knowledge is required; gradually, everyone will receive all the components necessary for an independent and individually tailored yoga practice.
1/2 Led Primary with the beginning of 2nd Series
This class is a half led primary with the beginning of second series. Open to all that:
· have a regular practice
· know the practice until Navasana
‘The Way He Taught Me (Nancy Gilgoff)’
Always the last wednesday of the month. A soft Primary Series, the way Nancy Gilgoff learnt it from Sri Patthabi Jois during her first visit to Mysore. A very compact, lovely practice. A few things are left out, because they were not there in the beginning. Read all about it here.
Led Class
The focus of this class is on the rhythm of the series. It is practiced in the shared rhythm and in the original “Counting.” A challenging class for everyone with regular practice at least up to Navasana (Boat Pose).
Moonpractice
On Moon Days (Full and New Moon) we offer a guided class for all experience levels. No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Private lessons
For individual problems and questions, one-on-one sessions can be arranged.
Yoga Sangraha
Yoga Sangraha is a contemporary, breath-led practice of classical yoga sequences that gently guide the nervous system toward balance, leaving you feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to yourself and your life.
The class creates a practice that is simultaneously calming, strengthening, and energizing, centering you and gently guiding you into a meditative state.
It will build strength, flexibility, and postural stability in a way that feels sustainable rather than depleting.
No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Restorative / Yin Yoga
Various techniques are used to mobilize the joints and increase overall flexibility. Long-held stretches help to release tension in the muscles and connective tissue, promoting deep relaxation. Body and mind come to rest. No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Stretch & Relax
is a blend of gentle movements in all directions of the body and relaxing, held poses. It’s ideal for giving both mind & body something beneficial during a lunch break. It is complementary to a dynamic Ashtanga practice. No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Consciouss Breathing & Meditation
Breathing is part of the autonomic nervous system. It happens without us having to think about it, just like swallowing or digestion. In the first part of the session, we will become aware of the unconscious.
We will explore the resonance frequency (5-7 breaths per minute).
The effect is a deep sense of balance, comparable to a reset button for the autonomic nervous system. The cardiovascular system is also strengthened. With regular practice, we can cope better with stress.
In the second part of the session, we will sit. Guided meditation. No prior knowledge is required to participate.
Vinyasa Flow
Monday:
The focus is on strengthening the back and core, building strength, and gaining a better understanding of one’s own body. At the same time, the consciously guided movements create space for mental balance. The class invites you to develop stability, find inner calm, and not only build strength but also learn to use it consciously.
Open to both beginners and experienced practitioners
Friday:
Let the thread of your breath guide you through this dynamic and meditative flow.
Drawing inspiration from the fluid movement principles of Ty Landrum’s Black Lotus Yoga, this class explores the balance between effort and ease through a sequence of strong and grounding postures. The breath serves as the foundation of every movement, creating space for introspection. Expect a practice that is both energizing and deeply
centering.
Open to both beginners and experienced practitioners
