Alexandra Solomon has been a student of yoga since 2007. She was very blessed to have found from the beginning the practice she loves most – Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. She dedicated herself to the practice and teaching immediately after finishing her university studies in physical therapy. She worked side by side for 10 years with her first teacher, Irene Zaarour, in Ashtanga Yoga Romania and after that built and taught her own Mysore program, Ashtanga Bucharest, for the following 3 years.
She traveled constantly for her yoga studies, including in Mysore where she attended classes at KPJAYI with Sharath R. Jois. From the many teachers she met, the closest to her heart are Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, Nancy Gilgoff, Tarik van Prehn and Lea Perfetti, and most recently Andrea Lutz.
Alexandra complimented her practice and teachings by studying and offering Thai Traditional Massage. Her background also includes ten years of competitional rhythmic gymnastics, contemporary dance and she is a keen enthusiast of the Feldenkrais method, which she explores with her teacher Valentina de Piante. Alexandra was born in a little town in the middle of Transylvania, Romania, lived in Bucharest for a while, and now she has found a new home here in Berlin.
