The practice of Ashtanga Yoga is based on the Breath and the Bandhas. In this workshop Andrea will focus on these main principles and we will learn different ways to experience these strong tools.  

We will explore selected Asanas of the Primary Series with their physical and energetic alignment.

Further we will research and play with some of the “Balance” Asanas like Bakasana, Pincha Mayurasana, Urdvha Kukutasana …  We will help each other to experience the lightness and ease when balance is accomblished. The focus will be to increase and refine your core strength and you will learn how to use weight and gravity to practice with more lightness. This way you will progress your inner strength and you can focus to release all unnecessary tension in the body (and mind).

This workshop will be an in depth exploration and will help you to go deeper in your own practice. To attend the workshop it is recommended to have a regular practice of Ashtanga Yoga. All Levels are welcome.

The teaching language of the workshop will be English.

Andrea Lutz ist Gründerin und Leiterin des Ashtanga Studio Berlin. Andrea praktiziert Yoga seit 1986, und hat nach jahrelangem Studium des Yoga nach Shivananda und Iyengar 1997 erstmals Ashtanga Yoga kennen gelernt. Sie war sofort fasziniert von dieser herausfordernden und komplexen Yogapraxis und seit dem liegt ihr Fokus auf Praxis und Lehre des Ashtanga Yoga in seiner traditionellen Form. Andreas
